C4 speed sails

Designed by Sean Cox and developed by Matthew Burridge with input from myself. The C4's have surprised the speed sailing community time and time again. With the inner stress frame this makes a sail within a sail. The lightest and most robust sails you can buy. Imagine firing a pellet out of a pea shooter. The C4 is like this when it hits a gust. Disconcerting at first, but when dialed in to the character of these sails it will bring huge rewards. Click on pics for larger images. Opens in a new window.

C4 7.5 Speed. I've used this once so far and liked the lightness and drive low down. It's a choice between this and my 8.2 C4. Matthew thinks it will be quicker but married with my Zud the 8.2 will be a hard act to follow. This combo got me to 3rd place so some hard testing on the 7.5 sail is the order of the day. C4 6.8 Speed. Replacement of my last C4 speed. I'm have a critical eye on this one, as i loved the last 6.8, but 3 years of very hard use has made it a little tired but still very useable. Loads of range in this sail. Loads of tuneability. The weapon for Weymouth in 20 knots. Catch me if you can.

C4 6.0 Speed. A superb sail. Well developed and totally dialed. Soft at the top and loads of grunt low down. Excellent acceleration in the gusts and sustainable speed in the lulls. I've had a respectable 43.5 knot v-max on this fella and 1st spot at the last USM at West Kirby. NOT FOR SALE :)

C4 5.3. I haven't used this yet. However Johnny Walker went from from an un-named 5.5 speed sail to this sail and went 2 knots faster.
